What can I do if I can't pay my probation fees?

I owe over 3000 dollars that are preventing me from trying to get my record expunged. I am currently 1 year away from graduating with a bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering. Since I am a full time student I am not working and can't pay. I told one of the people who work at the Probation offices that I will start paying back the fees when I get my well paying job but they want the money before I can start earning the money. It sounds far fetched and it is. I am not on Probation or on Parole.
