Does birth control give you a loss of appetite?

my doctor recently put me on birth control because of my anemia and she told me that it will make be gain weight (which i don't really mind because im 130lbs and 5'9'' so i would like to look a little "fuller"). anyway ihaven'tt been very hungry since i started taking it. its tri-sprintec which is the generic otho tri-cyclen. has anyone else experienced loss of appetite and did you gain weight? also anyone else on tri-sprintec, have you had any side effects? thanks
