Why does my bichon ***** keep fetching her puppies to my mum?

My bichon female has just had a litter of 5. For the past day she has been picking a puppy up and fetching it to my mum on the sofa and hoping my mum can do something to help but we don't exactly know what. We have been to the vet today and they think that she may have something wrong but can't see any symptoms yet. Please can someone help me ??? Its as if she needs help making then poo and wee... Its every time she hears one crying, she fetches the one that is crying to my mum ??
