Please help me, I really need your suggestion?

Is cbse class 12 exams tough...i mean are the question very tricky...if a student sticks to his NCERT book + solve sample papers + 5 yr question bank then can he manage to score 90%.....are question older than 5 yrs repeated? plz help me...cn hardwrk fetch good results...is ncert enough!
