Where are good places to take dog's to swim? Zipcode 27603?

I'm moving to 27603 area and I have two water loving dogs. I would really like to find a place where I can spend the day with them playing fetch in the water without too many leash laws. My dogs are well behaved off-leash and they have a hankering to go swimming. Any public access lakes would be great!
