Why do so many people enjoy watching Law & Order S.V.U?

You don't like it because it's too real. I like it because it's real. Not to mention that Olivia and Elliott are both so sexy. I like any investigation show. I like to see how a detective goes about finding the truth. I also like it because it reminds me that there really are creeps in the world. I have always liked scary, gory movies. So SVU fits in that category somewhat. I watched several eps of Dexter also. To me it was much gorier. The biggest difference was that it was not real. But wait a minute. Even tho it's not real, there are serial murderers out there, so is it real or not?
