Would you favor an optional national sales tax?

It would be totally up to the consumer rather the will pay it or not when they make purchases. Most people would decline but with the easy convenience it would produce more tax revenue by the few giving. It doesnt even have to be a certain rate, consumers can just give their change. It may sound far fetched but its worth a shot and dont underestimate the positive feeling people get when they give which is plenty motivation. As well the money can go directly to the debt or to FEMA or something people want to give to knowing it wont go to jets and limos for politicians.
